More than a third of the Israeli ex-intelligence agents based in Ireland exposed by The Ditch in 2024 have scrubbed details of their Israel Defense Forces (IDF) service from their LinkedIn profiles.

One of the eight ex-soldiers concealing their past includes a senior Dublin-based Google employee who served seven years as a military intelligence officer in the IDF.

Another former intelligence corps soldier deleted their LinkedIn profile after The Ditch’s report created a new account without reference to their military past under a different version of their name and is now studying for a master's degree at Trinity College Dublin – as Palestinians continue to be denied the opportunity to study in Ireland.

The other six Irish-based former IDF personnel work for Google, Stripe, Meta, TikTok, Salesforce and Honeywell.

One previously worked as a security officer in Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, while another worked as a security policy adviser for the same office.

The Ditch reported last week that Jim O’Callaghan’s justice department granted residency to Israelis who served in the Israel Defense Forces during the Gaza genocide.
