The Ditch can reveal that 34 containers of weapons and bombs for Israel left a US port yesterday on the ship Ocean Glory.
The same vessel was allowed dock at a Spanish port last month after delivering another shipment of munitions to Israel.
Meanwhile another ship was forced to drop plans to stop at Cabo Verde last month after The Ditch reported it was carrying tonnes of ammunition to Israel.
‘That armed the Nazi regime’
The Ocean Glory left the US port of Paulsboro in New Jersey yesterday morning and is expected to make stops at other US ports before crossing the Atlantic.
The US-flagged ship will carry 17 containers of bomb shells produced at the Elbit Systems of America factory in Ladson, South Carolina.
The recipient is Elbit’s sister company IMI Systems in Ramat Hasharon.
New York-based Wieland Group – a company that armed the Nazi regime – is sending three container loads of brass ammunition cartridge cases on the ship to the same Elbit Systems-owned arms factory in Ramat Hasharon, according to shipping records obtained by The Ditch.
Also onboard the cargo vessel is one ROEM howitzer – a specially designed fully automatic artillery system for the Israel Defense Forces.
The ship is also carrying a container of bullets and three containers of components for 120 millimetre mortar rounds.
The Ocean Glory will have to pass through Spanish waters later this month on its way to Israel’s Ashdod and Haifa ports.
On 14 May the same ship was allowed dock at Spain’s Port of Algeciras after delivering 15 containers of ammunition and explosive chemicals to Israel.
From Algeciras the Ocean Glory travelled directly to Paulsboro and arrived on 25 May to collect its next shipment of Israeli munitions. It is expected to arrive in Israel at the end of this month.
